have you considered keeping an ice maker in the house? Then guests could add more if they like and you wouldn't have to go buy ice every week

Love your content and thank you for sharing your journey. I gotta call you out for your fear of chemicals. Everything is a chemical... Absolutely everything. Even the water in your hot tub is a chemical, and at the end of the day chlorine is chlorine, how that chlorine was formed has no bearing on how "natural" or "healthy" it is.

Gotta keep your garbage indoors in bear country for best results. Houses are mostly sealed up and keep most smells indoors. Any wooden shed or metal box with garbage smells will attract them. They open latches and door knobs with ease. Wood planks and screws will be easily ripped off.

Would be cool if there was an additional version of these construction plans with one additional bedroom/bathroom to make it a little more livable. Any idea what part of the home would be best to have that bedroom added on?

It seems to me you went for too much instead of starting with one container and learning the basics. What did you expect from stacking containers. You wanted something flashy so I disagree with all your points. I've seen many contractors and RUclips videos that mention how to properly ventilate a container home. You should have know all these points going in before you even began building the container home. It is a beautiful home, but you simply bite off more than you could chew. I love container homes but I would never stack them; you just asking for issues.

What size heater did you go with? 8kw or the 6kw?

As a hot tub and pool technician for 20 years you drained and cleaned that hot tub better than the folks that would've came out for $500. Just remember salt destroys metals. You love everything now until they tell you you're $600 pump is corroded and you need a new one with labor and tax over thousand dollars. Be careful with that green scrubber pad you will eventually scratch the surface and then mold and gunk will build there. That's a lot of biohazard with that drain cleaning line cleaning solution. This tells me nobody showers before they use the hot tub. Do you tell your guest to make sure they shower first or at least rinse off? By the way what does she do? She could've been draining the hot tub and clean it while you were doing other stuff. Maybe she's doing other stuff. Anyway great video. PS Jacuzzi is the biggest piece of crap. You're gonna find out. Sorry..

What the heck kind of survey did you have done for $10k? Why are you paying for a rental website to build a home? Your numbers don’t add up. $140k for 4 acres of land?? People must see you coming before you get there because you make very foolish mistakes with your money if you paid the totals you claim you did in this video.

Props for putting your beams on-top of your posts. And props for putting your joists on-top of your beams. That's a solid load-path. But... You sure like those adjustable post bases. I'm not a fan: It's a very small cross-sectional area of steel holding up your deck. Throw a hot-tub on that, and now there is a significant load. In my area, anything over 30" tall (top of deck to top of grade) needs a permit. That primarily means utilizing significant footers (deep and wide) along with significant post-base connectors. Proper footers should not settle much, if at all. Therefore future adjust-ability is either not needed, or so minor that a simple shim would suffice. Also: A beefy post-base connector will have a significantly larger cross-sectional area in contact with the footer, and extend deep into the footer with either a J-bolt, or direct-set. Rebar cages may or may not be a requirement inside the footers depending on use and location.

The home is seriously impressive and being able to rent it for a average of $520 a night is just as impressive…

While it looks nice. The guy is an idiot for spending 700,000 total to make a small house. My man you could have bought a house that size and just added the customizations he did and still had plenty left over. A fool and their money are soon separated .

I like your videos in that you show steps in more detail than most. Could you give some info on whether you have built them to your county or state code or not? If I am going to copy your steps it would be helpful. I realize codes may be somewhat different from location to location but most areas are now adopting national codes. Thank you!
